Only having launched two weeks ago, Queens was founded by Clara Lee. Lee graduated from Cornell and Harvard and pursued a career in startups and edtech, taking her from New York to San Francisco. But through it all, one common thread remained — her love of cooking. She leveraged her fascination with the food culture of the Bay Area and her desire to merge authentic Korean food with NorCal ingredients and sensibilities — and thus Queens was born.

According to their site, “Queens is a way home, to both past and present. It’s about sharing with others the enduring foods, flavors, and techniques that Clara cared about growing up, and redefining them under a California lens.”

Important to note — Queen is an online deli, offering two delivery slots to San Francisco: Tuesday from 4:30-6:30pm or 6:30-8:30pm. Even still, their local sourcing of ingredients and carefully crafted menus will make this better than any other fast food or takeout option you could get. They also do dinner catering if you’re looking to showcase authentic Korean cuisine for your next gathering.
