Less than a week ago, a rumor cropped up that suggested Sony was planning on launching a purple-clad variant of the Xperia Z3. Now, following up on those initial reports that showed up on Chinese site ePrice, another report has appeared on the same site [translated], this time allegedly showing the purple handset out there in the wild. The photographs, which bear plenty of pixelated distortion as sensitive information has been removed from they mage, seem to showcase an Xperia Z3 with a purple back case and a black front panel, just as the initial rumors had suggested. As far as features go, the only difference with this device is reportedly the color scheme. Otherwise, the purple Xperia Z3 will still feature a 5.2-inch 1920×1080 display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz and 20.7-megapixel camera on the back, among other high-end specs. As far as a release dates goes, the reports continue to suggest it could launch as early as mid-February, but Sony has yet to make any announcements regarding the mysterious handset. Do you plan on picking one up if you can?
