Google search on a mobile device is about to get another button added to it soon, aimed directly for the folks that love to shop. Google has recently confirmed that it will be adding a buy button within some search results while on mobile devices, as part of a new “Purchases on Google” program that will begin rolling out over the next few weeks. The buy button will be handled through sponsored results in Google search results, and payment information will be stored directly by Google to make purchasing quick and easy. Consumers will see familiar branding and logos on the checkout page, and Google says that it is currently working with “a dozen or so” retailers to make the new buying option possible for mobile searchers. Customers will be able to search for other products within these specific retailer sections, something that will make buying even more things possible. Google plans on rolling out to more retailers and partners throughout the rest of the year, and well into 2016. Google is also adding deep linking into its mobile search results as well, which will now send searchers directly to an app, rather than another webpage, depending on what they select. Meaning, when an eBay link is selected, Google will now automatically launch the eBay app if it’s installed on the user’s phone. Google Now is also getting a boost, with a new card that will allow users to track a product, and when a sale happens, Google Now will let them know.
