The Best App, on the other hand, was crowned to an app called Drops which employs image-based exercises to teach 31 foreign languages. However, since Drops isn’t as popular as the other services, it couldn’t bag the Fan Favorite App title which went to Google Pay in India and YouTube TV in the United States, both, of course, developed by none other than Google. Google also picked a couple of winners in a few other specific categories such as the Best Entertaining to TikTok, LightFX Photo Editor, SonyLiv, and the Best Indie Game to Alto’s Odyssey, Hexologic, and more. Google’s Files Go file-management app found a place too in the Hidden Gems section along with How to Draw Comics, Unfold, and others. In addition to apps and games, Google’s Best of 2018 explored the most streamed and rated TV shows, audiobooks, movies too. Of course, Marvel dominated the films category since four out of the top five movies were from the MCU including Deadpool 2, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Thor: Ragnarok. You can find the complete list on Google’s blog post.
